Editorial Policy
GlowCulture is an independent publication covering beauty, skincare, health, fashion and lifestyle. This page explains how we research, write, review and correct our content, so you can decide how much weight to give what you read here.
Who writes GlowCulture
Articles on GlowCulture are published under the byline of Aiman Shahzadi, who is responsible for the site’s content. You can read more on our About page or contact us at glowculture.uk@gmail.com.
How we research
Every article starts with a specific reader question. We then look for the best available evidence, in this order of preference:
- Government and public health bodies, such as the NHS and GOV.UK
- Peer-reviewed research indexed in databases such as PubMed and PubMed Central
- Professional and medical organisations, such as the American Academy of Dermatology, and established hospitals and health institutions
- Reputable news, fashion and industry publications, used for trends, product information and context rather than for health claims
We link to the sources we rely on so that you can check them yourself. Brand and manufacturer websites are used only to describe what a product is or claims to do, never as proof that it works.
How we write and use AI tools
We may use AI-assisted tools to help with research and drafting. AI is a tool, not the author: each article is reviewed and edited by a person, and its claims are checked against the sources cited before it is published. Responsibility for everything we publish rests with GlowCulture, not with any software.
Health and skincare content
- Our content is educational and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Please read our Disclaimer.
- Articles are not written or medically reviewed by a doctor or dermatologist unless the article clearly says so.
- We try to describe the strength of the evidence honestly, including where research is limited, mixed or early-stage, and we avoid promising cures or guaranteed results.
- We encourage you to speak to a qualified healthcare professional about any medical or skin concern, especially before starting a treatment or supplement.
Products, affiliate links and advertising
GlowCulture may contain affiliate links and advertising, including ads served through Google AdSense, and we may earn a commission or revenue from them. This does not change what we write about a product or ingredient. Any sponsored content would be clearly labelled as such. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.
Updates and corrections
Beauty and health guidance changes as new research appears. We review articles from time to time and update them when there is meaningful new evidence or when we find an error. If you spot a mistake or an out-of-date claim, please email glowculture.uk@gmail.com with the article link and the details. We will check it and correct verified errors.
Independence
Advertisers, brands and affiliate partners have no influence over our editorial decisions, and we do not change our conclusions to suit them.
